BrianGrazer, marks the debut of multi-platinum recording artist
Eminem in the leading role of a motion picture. Curtis Hanson
(Wonder Boys, L.A. Confidential) directs from an original
screenplay by Scott Silver. The Producers include Brian Grazer,
Curtis Hanson and Jimmy Iovine (president of Interscope Records).
8 Mile is a provocative fictional examination of a critical
month in a young man's life as he searches for identity and
a sense of purpose. Against a backdrop of familial indifference
and community decay, he learns to express his anger, fears
and frustrations as he struggles to transcend his bleak circumstances.
Loosely based on the life of rap star Marshall "Eminem"
